It is more about how they act. In most of the stories I have tried reading with female MCs, the way they act and talk is usually way different from the way many male MCs act. In order to give off a more "female" vibe, the author makes the physical actions, talking styles, and mannerisms of the character different. This story is one of only a couple of stories with female MCs that I have actually enjoyed. Also, as a male person myself, I resonate more with male MCs, which is why I mostly prefer to read stories with male MCs. Also, I still have issues with the characteristics of some male MCs as well, it is just that I have more issues with stories with female MCs than with stories that have male MCs.
