i really wanted to enjoy this. It had such a cool plot
started off really good, story telling was a bit rushed and bumpy but the set-up was super unique and the MC is a badass.
but as the story progressed I struggled more and more trying to enjoy it after the intro as the MC does grunt work to progress his system.
and I would have been okay with that but none of the side characters are very likeable so it becomes difficult to read. It's like 80% boring stuff and 20% exactly what we want. Should have been primarily focussed on the MC and his kill timer.
that said, I'm not implying it's bad, it's perfectly fine, I just didn't like it. In that regard I won't give it a score. I think it will get better but it had lost me during what I'll call the revolution arc. Shame really…
The reason why I wanted to like it is in my opinion it gives off berserk vibes as well as god of war vibes but obviously it can't quite capture the raw energy of either of those series.
Chemon
Nah I can't be bothered honestly. It looks like it's getting interesting now but it's too little too late.
i don't think I can soldier it out on the slim chance of it getting better.
Honestly hope it does improve for any of you guys who are still going strong. I'm out
Chemon
Cool. Another chapter without the MC in it
Chemon
I'm getting tired of this. I know they have to world build but I just want to see the MC progress his story. I don't give a shit about all these side quests.
I'll probably drop this if nothing reels me back in soon
Chemon
Why should he care.
Chemon
Fucking finally. We can move tf on. Time to reset my anger bar because this arc really tilted me
Chemon
This series has a knack for pissing me off.
reminds me of god of war, where he gets scammed by… Well the god of war.
difference is, kratos becomes a fucking beast and murders everyone that wronged him.
Chemon
Blah blah, skipped the chapter by skimming. The only interesting thing that happened was meeting the war god
Chemon
Man… Fuck the king as well. He deserves to die as well. He's not fit to rule the country
Chemon
Strike 1, I'm not enjoying how much the MC just gets dragged around. Also that knight guy deserved to die.
sure he's just doing his job but fuck him, he chose which side he wanted to be on, live by the sword and die by it. MC essentially wasted the equivalent of like 10 lives in that fight for nothing
Chemon
Pretty clever but hurry up. This arc is dragging
Chemon
Not saying for certain but maybe it was like that in the RAWS and he's just trying to convey the same thing?
but he should have put a TL note next to it regardless
Chemon
I like the dragon guy, he actually feels like he has presence. But I do want to hurry up and get through this arc
Chemon
I've figured out my problem with this series. It's not the series that's bad it's this arc in particular.
none of the characters are likeable except the MC and this dragon guy.
the princess is a naive dimwit, her guard is useless, the rest of the royal family need to die and the civilians are no name background character.
that means 80% of the screen time is filled with unlikeable people.
i assume next arc will be better

I wonder, do monarchies get disbanded once a revolution has succeeded? Surely once the people have killed all the figure heads a democracy (or potentially a dictatorship) would naturally form?
dunno, I'm just speculating, I don't know enough about history
Chemon
This whole plot is stupid. These guys go marching to the castle gates and shit themselves the second they see blood. What did they think was going to happen? The king to come out and shower them with praise and gold?
if they're at that point of frustration, they'd be armed with pitchforks and torches. Potentially 1000 guards but there would be like 10,000 citizens at least considering even a small borough nowadays has a population of 200,000.
anyway, it's a bit nonsensical
Chemon
Oh did he make some sort of fucked up deal that backfired?
Chemon
Getting dejavu of the MC getting fucked over by his debts but I'm pretty sure I haven't read this before
Chemon
Retarded. Push the people too far and you're bound to have a revolution on your hands.
and realistically they passed that point as soon as total annihilation was on the table
Chemon
The story direction is odd, they've completely disregarded everything that has built up for the last 13 chapters, it's basically an unrelated, generic story going forward.
the main draw of this story was the fact the MC is forced to kill against his will to survive, but that's not even relevant anymore
Chemon
What fúcking useless cúnts
its like blaming someone for not responding to their text message when they forgot to send one in the first place
Chemon
Wait… This just turned into monster hunter
good game so I'm okay with this!
Chemon
Wait… He could just become a villain. Murder everyone in that room, gain 1000+ hours and then victims would come to him… In an attempt to collect a bounty.
Lambs to the slaughter, more life span
Chemon
Goddamn. This Nígga crazy
solid start
Chemon
He then went on to make jeans in the future and that's how we got Levi's jeans
